My husband would tell you I'm patient and chatty, while also fondly describing me as a "savage" in the same breath. I love to talk on the phone; no like really call me cause I love to chat, when so many people today prefer to text or ignore my calls - you know who you are and I will keep calling! There can always be a dinky or small monster truck found in my pockets or bag and of course a snacks!
My name is Danielle but all my friends call me D. So seeing as we are now friends - "Hi, I'm D". I can always be found with a coffee in hand, wearing something comfortable, often in a baseball hat, chasing my wild child toddler E and holding baby Lou Lou on my hip. I love patio drinks in the sun, food that is served in bowl form; whole bowls, cereal, soup and ice cream just to name a few, and overpacking for any adventure or activity - just incase.

Way before the days of dating apps and when Facebook was the "new thing" (gosh I am old) I met my husband in our high school biology class. The rest as they say is history.

While Central Alberta; Red Deer to be exact, has been home to our family for the last ten years, our roots are in the East Coast. I love Alberta and cannot envision my family living anywhere else, but whenever I am asked where I am from Newfoundland is my immediate answer.
Saltbox is a traditional style of home on the East Coast and it felt right to pay tribute to my beautiful home, especially in times like these where longing to smell the salty ocean air is so often on my mind.
